At Brambory Pankrác, the food is amazing, but after our third visit, we decided not to return. It is simply so noisy that we found ourselves always relieved to leave.
The restaurant is just opposite Pankrác Metro station on Line C. Brambory is Czech for potatoes.
There is some air con, but it struggles to cope when the weather is hot.
Brambory is full most evenings. As with other restaurants in the ‘Together’ restaurant group, particularly Bruxx and Parliament, there is no attempt at sound deadening. The result is a noisy, echoey experience that ruins the wonderful food served.
There is a conservatory with views to the street. It is like a greenhouse in hot weather and can also be noisy when full.
All the staff are friendly and professional. Prices correct as August 2026.
A 0,75 l bottle of tap water 49 Kč. A 0.15l glass of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo MODA Talamonti 128 Kč.
Roasted duck breast with teriyaki sauce, stir fried edamame, shiitake, carrots and pea pods, potato croquettes with wasabi, mayonnaise, tonkatsu sauce, and katsuobushi. 398 Kč. Perfectly-cooked duck elevated by the delicious potato croquettes.
We really wish Brambory would introduce some noise-reducing measures—soft furnishings, felt pads under the chairs and acoustic-backed pictures. The same applies to Bruxx, Parliament and Sia. It’s a mystery how they get the food and service so right, yet overlook the ambience. It’s genuinely frustrating because we love the food and would happily return if we could leave without a headache.
