U Kašpara is a local pub restaurant at the bottom of the Nuselské steps – closest tram stop Nuselské schody (6 & 11). A 0.5l Svijany 11° beer is 51 Kč (July 2026) and the food is good.

The restaurant is themed around Ing. Jan Kašpar, the first Czech to fly an aircraft. Early aircraft used bicycle wheels and other parts, hence the bikes with wheels and wings that hang from the ceiling.

All the staff are friendly and helpful, although a little bit of Czech is useful.

Of course, this isn’t some Michelin starred restaurant, but the food is always good and served in generous portions.

Caesar salad with chicken 249 Kč.

Fish and chips 259 Kč.

We think you’ll enjoy your visit to U Kašpara.
