The Titanic Exhibition in Letňany, brings the legacy of the RMS Titanic to life through a collection of authentic artifacts and detailed reconstructions.

Designed to transport visitors back to the fateful 1912 voyage that captured the world’s imagination, this experience offers a unique blend of history, emotion, and personal stories that make the legend of the Titanic feel real.

The following is a video from our visit.

To reach the exhibition, you’ll need to take the red metro line C from the centre to Letňany – the end of the line. Then walk ten minutes to the exhibition entrance.

There are nice modern toilets and a free cloakroom. If you understand English and/or Czech, there’s really no need for an audio guide.

One really nice touch is that you are given a unique boarding pass.

The back of the pass shows your passenger name – a real passenger on the Titanic. I was to be Mr. Hudson Joshua Creighton Allison, a wealthy Canadian businessman. Near the end of the exhibition, you can check a large passenger list to see whether you survived. Sadly, I/he did not. At least I/he was a first-class passenger and enjoyed four days of good food, champagne, whisky and cigars before demise.

The exhibition is set across a series of large rooms, each filled with artifacts, plus two movie presentation rooms.

The rooms are beautifully presented. There is a lot of reading, but you can take as much or as little as you want from that.

The famous staircase and dome are a projection. It would be wonderful if this had been recreated, with photo opportunities on the stairs, but I also get why it isn’t.

The first-class corridor was real and surreal to walk through.

Third-class passengers were not as spoiled but still comfortable.

A good recreation of the wireless operator’s room, although missing the S (• • •), O (— — —), S (• • •) sound effect – perhaps it would drive the staff crazy after a while!

No Titanic exhibition would be complete without covering the 1997 movie. The last room features costumes and what looks like the car from the passionate below decks scene.

The gift shop has plenty of interesting items, including White Star Line branded tableware.

There is also a Titanic bow recreation photo opportunity – a nice idea but sadly chargeable.

The coffee bar continues the Titanic theme.

We spent almost two hours in the exhibition, although could have easily stayed longer if we’d read every poster.

We really enjoyed our visit. It’s definitely worth the voyage to Letňany – just watch out when the weather produces icy conditions!
