EU citizens, except those from Ireland, travelling to the United Kingdom from 2nd April 2025 must apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA). Cost is £16 (470 Kč). An ETA or Visa is already required for non-EU citizens.
The UK government ETA system opened for EU citizens on 5th March 2025. You can apply online or via a smartphone app. Details are here:

Only use the official UK Government online service or app. You’ll find multiple search results claiming to be ‘official’ ETA services – they will just charge you more, collect your data and maybe not even provide you with an ETA.
An approved ETA lasts two years, although you’ll need to apply again if you renew your passport.
You don’t need an ETA if you are transiting through a UK airport, so long as you don’t pass through border control. For example, it’s possible to land at London Heathrow Terminal 3 and take a flight connections bus to Terminal 5 for your next flight.
If you’re flight is delayed or cancelled, you might need to leave the airport. It’s not clear what would happen at border control. If you’re worried about this, especially if you have a tight flight connection, consider applying for an ETA.
Those arriving illegally by small boats, without an ETA, will continue to be welcomed by the British authorities and provided with free food, accommodation and healthcare!
