Step into the thrilling world of 007 as the Bond in Motion exhibition makes its debut in Výstaviště, Prague. The exhibition showcases the iconic cars, helicopters, motorbikes, airplanes and submarines that played pivotal roles in the legendary film series.

The exhibition was first held in London, then headed to the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles and the Saratoga Automobile Museum, then back to the National Motor Museum in England and then to Brussels. Now it occupies a 3000 square metre pavilion in Výstaviště (the fair grounds), Prague.

The story of a British secret service agent was created in 1953 by Ian Fleming and brought to the screen in 1962 in Dr. No starring Sean Connery.

The iconic Aston Martin DB5 that debuted in Goldfinger starring Sean Connery
Aston Martin v8 Vantage from The Living Daylights, starring Timothy Dalton
BMW Z8 from the The World Is Not Enough starring Pierce Brosnan
Jaguar XKR from Die Another Day driven by the villain Zao, played by Rick Yune
Prototype Jaguar C-X75 from Spectre driven by the villain Mr. Hinx played by Dave Bautista

All the vehicles were used in the films.

A ‘donut’ spinning ‘No Time to Die’ Aston Martin DB5, together with sound effects is the centerpiece of the exhibition.

Scale models of Bond cars

The exhibition has a bar serving Bollinger champagne. The champagne was so good that I forgot to ask if they could make a Vodka Martini shaken not stirred.

A shop sells a good selection of souvenirs, model cars and apparel.

There is a competition, open to all ticket holders, with the following prizes:

  • A limited-edition Triumph Tiger 900 Bond motorbike inspired by the James Bond film ‘No Time to Die’.
  • VIP weekend paddock tickets for two people to a Formula 1 race, specifically the Austrian Grand Prix.
  • Five weekend stays for two people in the wonderful environment of the Grand Hotel Pupp in Karlovy Vary, where Casino Royale was filmed.
  • A tour of the Triumph factory in England for two with the opportunity to try out one of their motorbikes.

We really enjoyed the exhibition. The Bond in Motion website says an average visit is one hour, but you could easily spend two hours and not be bored, especially if you order champagne!
