Vinohrady’s Dark Kitchen Bistro has seating for just 16 people and serves brunch, lunch and dinner.
Dark Kitchen is the term usually applied to a food preparation facility with no storefront, that only services online orders. Perhaps they started out dark and decided to then operate a bistro.
Tables are a little too close together.
Prices correct as of December 2025. All the staff were friendly and professional.
The website shows several wines by the 0.125l glass. The least expensive red, an “Ornello” Doc 2020, Rocca di Frassinello, seemed overpriced at 165 Kč, especially for such a small glass. So, we were relieved to find a different wine menu with a Primitivo at 135 Kč and a Barbera at 115 Kč. A carafe of tap water was free.
The dinner menu features several types of ravioli. We tried three – all were beautifully presented and delicious, although served on cold plates so the pasta was lukewarm as a result.
Ravioli with rabbit ragout, carrot puree with grapefruit flavour, sage chips 425 Kč.
Ravioli with wild boar ragout in red wine, cacio e pepe, candied cherries 435 Kč.
Ravioli with truffle, ricotta, Grana Padano 495 Kč.
If you’re skipping the starters, you’ll definitely need three plates of ravioli between two of you. We think just a few more pieces should be added to each plate.
The lunch menu has some really interesting dishes and it’s a pity the dinner menu doesn’t contain more of these.
Dark Kitchen, although a little expensive for both product and location, does make great ravioli, something that is surprisingly difficult to find in Prague – just ask them to warm the plates.
