Arepas de Lyna is an authentic taste of Venezuela, close to Vinohradská vodárna in Vinohrady. The food is delicious and the margaritas are amazing.
The restaurant is tiny, with just a few colourful tables.
A good glass of house red 78 Kč. An excellent margarita 150 Kč. A carafe of water free.
Tequeňos are delicious cheese-filled bread sticks with a cheesy dip (114 Kč).
These filled, with chicken or beef, corn-flour patties were called Empanadas on the menu and on our bill (94 Kč each). I would consider them to be small Arepas as I think Empanadas are more like a mini Cornish pasty. Whatever the name, they are delicious.
This dish is called Arepa Con Todo (249 Kč), although it’s actually a deconstructed version in a bowl. Again, the name doesn’t matter as it’s delicious.
The restaurant staff are really friendly and I could see a smiling Lyn in the kitchen. Arepas de Lyna has become one of our favourite restaurants in Prague – see you there.
