Tom’s Food is a successful pizza/burger takeaway in Strašnice. Owner, Tomáš Dvořák, has now opened a second location, with seating, at the Nuselské schody tram stop in Vinohrady.
Tom’s Food Nuselské schody opened Friday 2nd August 2024. It’s so new that the previous Acqua & Grano sign is still outside.
The interior is similar, although the tables have been rearranged.

I enjoyed a delicious three-meat (chicken, bacon and peperoni) calzone (219 Kč).

The draught Pilsner Urquell 12 – 65 Kč.
A decent cheeseburger is 189 Kč.

Here are the current menus:

Acqua & Grano used to offer really nice focaccia sandwiches and pizza, but never made the most of the restaurant space – nobody dined in. Prior to Acqua & Grano, this was an Italian wine bar which seemed to attract a slightly-odd, curmudgeonly crowd.
I’m hoping that Tom’s Food becomes a place that people visit as a restaurant, not just a takeaway – I will do both. I suggested to Tomáš, the owner, that this second location should be called Tom’s Diner, after the famous song by Suzanne Vega.
If you’re near the Nuselské schody tram stop, Tom’s Food is worth a visit.
