The magical world of Tim Burton has arrived in the beautiful Obecní Dům building with an exhibition featuring 600 works, including storyboards, sketches, scene designs, puppets and photographs.

Everyone has a favourite Tim Burton film – is yours Sleepy Hollow, Beetlejuice, Mars Attacks, Corpse Bride or one of the many others?

The exhibition is up several flights of stairs – there is a beautifully ornate, manned, elevator, that is worth taking even if you have the energy to climb.

There are two large rooms, the one to the left showcases Tim Burton’s filmography, through hundreds of drawings and a series of scene recreations within giant balls with viewing portholes.

Our favourite scene recreations:

The room to the right contains lesser-known or un-realised ideas and concepts.

Both rooms are an amazing insight into the mind of Tim Burton – you can easily spend over an hour at the exhibition and we really enjoyed our visit.
