Pastička (mouse trap) is a classic Czech hospoda in Vinohrady, halfway between Muzeum and Jiřího z Poděbrad.
The interior resembles an old hunting lodge – minus the trophies.
Like most Czech restaurants, Pastička has a daily menu offering good value lunches.
The beef goulash with dumplings was tasty and good value at 170 Kč.
The chicken schnitzel and mash was really good and only 140 Kč.
A 0.5l dark Kozel beer was 50 Kč.
There is a small garden at the back although it’s a little dark and depressing.
If you’re in the area then Pastička is worth a visit.
