Hidden on the corner of Anny Letenské and Mánesova streets in Vinohrady, Rýže II offers authentic Korean food at reasonable prices. The restaurant was previously known as Masito – also Korean. So far, I like Rýže II better.
The interior has a clean, modern feel, with plenty of space between tables.
All the staff are friendly and speak English. A 200ml glass of decent, albeit slightly too cold, Italian red wine (99 Kč) and a jug of tap water (free!). Ryze II joins the list of Prague restaurants that offer free tap water.
To start we shared a huge and delicious kimchi pizza (140 Kč). Note that Korean dining tradition means that all the food arrives at once – if you want your starter to be a starter, you really need to empathise that, or just order dishes as you go.
For a main, we both had a bulgogi set (189 Kč) – everything was perfect.
I think the prices are very reasonable for such great food and service. I really can’t fault this place and recommend a visit.
