In September, the US advised that fully-vaccinated visitors from the EU and UK would be able to visit from ‘early November’. Since then, no firm date has been announced until today.

Following the September announcement, there was a flurry of flight bookings from those eager to snag a reasonable price. I watched the price of a British Airways Premium Economy flight London to Orlando rise from £800 to £2400 return.

With November approaching and with no firm date, airlines have been cancelling flights. For example, British Airways has cancelled direct flights on the Heathrow to Orlando route until Wednesday 17th November.

It now looks like Monday 8th November 2021 is the date when fully-vaccinated visitors from the UK and EU will be able to visit the US. Travellers will need to take a Covid test within three days of arrival in the US
