Levain is on Kozácká, a narrow street just between Havlíčkovy sady and the fashionable Krymská street area. On Saturday, I tried a few items from their refreshed menu – I guess you could call it their anniversary menu as Levain opened January 2019.

New to the starters are ‘Fish cakes, red pepper aioli and salad’ (185 Kč) – we asked for just one to try.

It was a delicious fishcake – ours had salmon, prawns and another fish, although I guess the ingredients might vary depending on what is available at market.

For a main we had a Thai Chicken Curry (235 Kč)

I think it was pretty authentic and I’d definitely have it again. I realised after, that this was the ‘weekly hotpot’ and so it could disappear next week – I’m hoping it becomes a regular menu item.

A half-litre carafe of house red is 225 Kč. A carafe of tap water is free – I love restaurants that provide free tap water!
